Nothing Fancy, Just Love
This year Daniel and I celebrated our 15th anniversary together. Instead of celebrating on the day, we lived it up over the whole year, in so many amazing ways! Just like a birthday week, I decided we deserved an anniversary year. I like to think of it as a whole year dedicated to our love over the last 15 years. We spent a lot of quality time together, we travelled to amazing places, we went on lots of dates and we enjoyed every single moment together. Some of it was pretty lavish, but most of it was nothing fancy, just love.
Although, we did do one thing that was something a little extra special...
Celebrating in Style
For our 10th anniversary we decided to treat ourselves to a special holiday. We weren't married and the whole big, white wedding thing wasn't important to us, but we didn't want to miss out on the honeymoon. So we celebrated in style and went to Bora Bora.
As that was pre blog, I thought I'd sneak in a few snippets from that amazing holiday.
Nothing Fancy, Just Love
For our 15th anniversary we decided we had to do something just as, if not more special than our 10th anniversary. So we went to City Hall to get married! We celebrated our anniversary in a way that was perfectly us. It was nothing fancy, just love, and it was one of the best days of my life.
Now it's time for some wedding photo spam :) Enjoy!
We chose to get married at Stockholm City Hall, which as well as being a really gorgeous building, it also has the most beautiful ceremony room. Along with our Swedish wedding certificate, it will be a nice memory of our time here in Sweden.
Fun Fact, Stockholm City Hall took 12 years to build and is made up of nearly 8 million red bricks. The Nobel Prize Banquet is also held here in December every year.
The afternoon was truly amazing and I'm so glad that we could enjoy it together as a family. It was a special day for us and we got to keep it relaxed and low-key, exactly the way we wanted it. We were even blessed with a beautiful sunny, summer afternoon. If only Sweden and Australia were closer so that we could have had more friends and family there.
Thanks for letting me share this special moment with you all. Now I guess we need to start thinking of something fun to do for our 20th anniversary!
Lots of Love, Jess :)
