Glamping in the Stockholm Archipelago

I've always wanted to go glamping. With the beauty of nature and the cosiness of the fancy tents who wouldn't! After years of trying, we finally managed to go a few weeks ago. And it was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer :) Svartsö Logi is a beautiful glamping location in the Stockholm archipelago. We've been trying to go every summer for the last few years, but always miss out on a spot. Bookings open in February for the summer season and are usually booked out within 24 hours! So we were super excited to get a spot at the end of this summer. It turned out to be the most beautiful weather and our last little getaway before getting back into reality.

Getting to the lodge in the archipelago takes about 2 hours on the ferry. Because it was so beautiful and sunny we sat out on the deck of the ferry, soaking up the sun and getting into relaxation mode. Once getting to the island of Svartsö the glamping site is about a 300-metre walk. Included in the cost of the night is a 3-course dinner in the Krog (Restaurant) and a picnic breakfast served at your tent. There are no bathrooms in the tents, but you can use the ones in the Krog until it closes. And Svartsö Logi provides natural soap and shampoo so that you can wash in the sea just in front of your tent.

What's it Look Like Inside??

The tent was full of so many cosy textures, and candles, and fairy lights. A full-size bed and two single beds. A heater just in case it gets cold and some books and magazines.

We could have spent days just lying on the deck and staring at the water. When I was watching the boats slowly cruise by, I was blissfully reading my book or doing some yoga. They've thought of everything here, you can even borrow yoga mats from reception so you don't have to bring your own.

Being able to just sit and relax was the perfect way to end the summer. I think I could watch the water forever. One day I'd like a summer house with a cosy deck and water views. It's also a beautiful spot for a little yoga. So, if you're in Stockholm next summer, do yourself a favour and check out Svartsö Logi!

In the morning a picnic basket with the most delicious breakfast was dropped off on the deck. It was loaded with so much food! We had eggs, yoghurt, granola, bread rolls, cheese, coffee, tea and juice!
