Just before our little London getaway a few weeks ago, I saw that Jojo Moyes had recently released Still Me. This is the third book about heroine Louisa Clark and follows the first and second books, Me Before you and After You. I already have a huge to-read pile and I didn't really need a new book. But I just couldn't resist going out and picking up a copy of Jojo's third book in this series. I absolutely loved reading Me Before You when it came out and equally enjoyed the second book. So with a shiny new copy in my hand, I jumped on the plane to London excited to start reading.

Still Me by Jojo Moyes

After the devastating heartbreak of Will Traynor, a lackluster effort to follow his advice and "Live Boldly", a fall from her rooftop puts Lou into the arms of Ambulance Sam. Now happy again and falling in love, Lou gets a job offer in New York that she can't refuse.

Starting a new life on Fifth Avenue, with her boyfriend Sam back home in London, Lou realises that life is never quite as it seems. Navigating this strange new world, with new employers, mixing in high society, and dealing with the challenges of a long-distance relationship, Lou meets someone who will shake her to the core. As things start to unravel Lou faces the question 'who is she really?'.

My Thoughts

I loved being back with Lou and following her adventures. Lou is quirky, fun, clumsy, self-conscious but at the same time strangely confident. Kind, caring, and always looking out for others, Lou also has no filter. Most of the time being unapologetic about being true to herself.

I loved reading about her latest adventure and following along as she stumbles through life. Walking the fine line between knowing exactly who she is and what she wants and total indecision. This makes Lou seem so real, just like the rest of us who never quite know if we've got it all figured out yet.

And of course, this book brought me to tears just like the first two did. I admit that I didn't sob out loud like when I read Me Before You, but there were definitely tears. For some reason, all three of these books have come out when I've been going on holiday. Maybe that makes the stories more intense, but I think they are perfect for holiday reading. As with the first two books, I found Still Me very easy to read and finished it in only 15 days. Which is pretty good for me, I'm not a fast reader.

Overall, I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, there was nothing I disliked about it! Have you guys read it? If so, did you love it as much as I did? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Now I'm off to start packing for our trip to Australia next week and trying to choose which book to take with me!

Cheers, Jess
