Time to Relax and Unwind in the Archipelago
When life gets really busy, I like to take some time out to relax and unwind. This weekend we snuck out to the Archipelago to do just that. We chose Vaxholm for our little weekend getaway as it's only 45 minutes from Stockholm.
Vaxholm
Vaxholm is a beautiful little town in the Stockholm Archipelago. We drove, but you can also take public transport or catch a ferry. From the Marina we took a relaxing walk past the boats and all the cute little shops and cafes. Enjoying some sun on our faces and breathing in the crisp air.I love the feeling of having nowhere to be and nothing I need to be doing. I can stop to take lots of photos and browse the beautiful shop fronts. After a chilly walk around the Marina we were starting to feel the cold, so we found a cosy bakery to warm up in and enjoy a Fika. I love to sit in cosy cafes and unwind with a good book and some coffee. After exploring the town we went back to the fantastic airbnb we were staying at to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the weekend. It was heaven! I had a pile of new books to choose from, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was out on Netflix and we had a stocked up on comfort food. The accommodation was warm and cosy and had everything we needed!I do want to spend some time in the Archipelago during summer, when I'd be able to enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer. But for me, coming here when it's this cold was the perfect way to hit the pause button to relax and unwind :) When you have the time to recharge your batteries, how do you like to relax?Cheers, Jess
