2018 - Let's do this!

Happy New Year!

2018 is here! And I'm ready for it :)I've never really been consistent or dedicated when it comes to setting New Year's resolutions. Then last year I heard a lot of talk about scrapping resolutions and going with goals instead. So I decided to give that a go. But, to be honest that didn't really work for me either. Instead of setting resolutions I tried to set goals that were perhaps a little too far out of reach, or that I wasn't really that committed to achieving. So this year I'm mixing it up. Instead of one or the other, I'm creating a personal list of things that I want to tick off by the end of the year. Some big, some small, but all important to me. It's a list of things I want to achieve, goals I want to work towards and some resolutions I want to stick to.Here's a peek at some of the things on my list, in no particular order...

  • Going easier on myself
  • Being ok with making mistakes
  • Learning to love myself just the way I am
  • Letting things go (especially my fear!)
  • Trying new things
  • Finally learning Swedish
  • Reading 20 books
  • Going without sugar or alcohol for January and February (for a start)
  • Yoga, Yoga and more Yoga
  • Nailing my handstand
  • Being more creative and sharing more frequently with you
  • Stop comparing myself to others!!
For the first time ever I actually sat down before 2017 ended and spent some time planning out what I want to achieve in 2018. I wrote it all down and set time for reflection along the way. My list isn't set in stone and I'm willing to adjust it as the year goes on. A year is a long time and you never know what will come up along the way. And part of the 'Going easier on myself' is to be flexible and not as hard on myself if things don't go to plan.I don't know about all of you, but I'm super excited for 2018! I'm feeling really good about it and I'm sure it's going to be an amazing year. No matter what twists and turns it may take. Are you ready for 2018 as well? Let me know in the comments how you tackle the start of a new year or something that you are excited for, I'd love to read all about it.So, here's to a new and exciting year! To giving things a go, to falling down and getting back up, to laughing more and worrying less, to 2018 - Let's do this :)Cheers, Jess
